FRESH WATER BAY

Fresh Water Bay is named in the official language of Providence, it offers a nice beach that is complemented by the presence of artisans, hotels and restaurants.


ALLAN BAY

To get to the smallest and romantic beach of the island it is necessary to pass through a small forest of wild plants where there are colored lizards and some species of birds.


BRIDGE OF LOVE AND SAINT CATALINE

It is a pendant bridge made in wood that connects Providence with Santa Catalina, allowing pedestrian passage and a view formed by small mangrove reserves in the banks and some boats that remain near the docks.


MORGAN´S HEAD

This unique form of natural sculpture is perhaps the most famous evidence of the passage of the pirate Morgan on the islands of San Andres, Providence and Santa Catalina.


CRAB CAY

It is one of the most searched spot by the tourists because of the incomparable beauty of its sea, is very close to the island and it can be reached by boat.

 


THREE BROTHERS´S CAY

It is located 2 kilometers from San Andres and is considered a forum for the observation of about 50 species of migratory birds that go there while the winter season ends in their places of origin.


OLD PROVIDENCE MC BEAN LAGOON NATIONAL NATURAL PARK

During the tour the island by boat, turning over Santa Catalina, you can reach the area known as Mk. Bean Lagoon that includes the mangrove reserve, part of the reef barrier of Providence, Crab Cay, the key of the Three Brothers and Maracaibo bay.


  • Accommodations:
    Most of the native inns in Providence operate inside the house of the owners which makes it more interesting to stay, because it means moving closer to the customs and habits of the natives.
    You have to rely on advice for choosing the place that best suits your interests and allows you to spend a season in good condition.
  • What to bring:
    Sunblock and sunscreen, light clothes, cash and camera.
  • Conservation:
    The beaches in Providence are clean and very neat, it is recommended to throw the debris into garbage bags when visit them so you contribute to the conservation. Do not collect marine material.
  • Transport:
    To move easily around the island is advisable to rent golf cart, a pick up, a motorcycle or a bicycle. Although the tour of the island is not very long, places of interest are separated from each other.
  • Health:
