Bellavista has water but does not haveelectricity, so it is important to bring candles and enjoy the beautiful star-filled nights.
Tourist Activities:
Pueblito, an indigenous archaeological site (between an hour and a half and two in mule), Park Tayrona – Arrecifes sector (two hours and 30 minutes by mule), natural forest ideal for bird, monkeys and insects watching, fish breeding place, nurseries of flora and fauna, natural streams and wells, Brava beach, go kayaking on the rivers Buritaca and Don Diego, visit the stream Valencia, visit the other places and their attractions, like bird watching, visit Santa Marta and Taganga.
This inn makes honor to its name: Bellavista. From the top of a mountain there is a spectacular landscape surrounded by hills which are melted to form in the distance the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta Ideal for those seeking tranquility and contact with nature. It has a beautiful garden filled with flowers and trees and its owner is famous for the taste of his meals.
Location:
It is about 40 minutes from Santa Marta trough the highway of the Caribbean, then we must take a path that takes about 30 minutes to walk up to the inn. There is a warning sign on the road.
Accommodations:
Bellavista has rooms for a total capacity of five people. The beds have bed net.There is no need to have a fan because the nights are cool. It has a private bathroom.
Food:
Although the inns have no kitchen, the owners do have one inside their homes that provides food. The meals are based on a great variety of fish, rice with coconut, frie green plantain tortillas and salad. It should be noted that the present owner prepares various dishes, many with products grown nearby. Next to the inn there is a lovely dining room with a capacity of 8 people,leave palm roof and a beautiful view.
