Infrastructure and Services:
Light: Some inns have an electric power plant and the service is usually from 6:00 pm until 10:00 p.m. The rest do not have electricity service.

 Water: Is supplied by tank lorries. You´ll find more water in the inns ready to receive tourists.

 Phone: Very few have telephone service. There are weak cellular signal.

Other Tourist Posadas (inns) located in Cabo de La Vela, in the desert just in front of the sea, inhabited by the indigenous Wayuu, are also part of the wonderful culture of the Wayuu community. The tourist Posadas are designed with traditional elements like mud and yotojoro (heart of the cactus) which is used to build the Rancherias (traditional houses) of the Wayuu people.

The Wayuu community is descendant of the Arawak community, their customs, rituals, traditional music are part of the cultural richness that has been passed from generation to generation through myths and has been reflected in their tissues and crafts as a sign of their customs.

The tourist Posadas of Cabo de la Vela are attended by Wayuu families who offer a good hosting service, quality crafts and excellent activities of relaxation, recreation and contemplation of this beautiful paradise in northern Colombia.
